Rev. Tom Newman grew up in Tampa, Florida and started attending the Tampa Shrine of the Master at the age of 11 with his Mother, two brothers and sister.  He studied and attended classes and became a certified healer at the age of 18. 

Rev. Tom earned a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 1975 and an MBA degree from Nova University in 1991.  Upon graduation from college in 1975 he worked for a company that took him to assignments in San Antonio, Memphis and Dallas.  In 1978, he moved to Sarasota to become involved with the Sarasota Shrine of the Master.  He began working for GTE in the Engineering & Planning Department and continued his spiritual studies at night and on the weekends.

Rev. Tom earned his Ministerial Certificate in 1995 and in September of 1996, became one of two Pastors of the church when Rev. Dorothy made her transition to Spirit. In June of 2006, he retired from Verizon, formerly GTE, and currently serves as the sole Pastor of the church.
